On Saturday, April 9, 2022, AIA South Jersey participated in Clean Ocean Action’s Spring Beach Sweeps at Ocean City, NJ – Ocean City Music Pier. AIASJ President Michael Salerno, AIA led the group that included Michael’s wife Jennifer, and their sons Anthony and Nieko. Also a part of the group was Past President Phil Giambri, AIA, and Sarah & Past President Bruce Turner, AIA.
A day of service, a lifetime of evidence to make the ocean cleaner!
COA’s Beach Sweeps are a massive citizen science project, and the data collected at the Beach Sweeps provides a legacy of information that can be used to identify sources of pollution, monitor trends in debris, and discover and promote solutions.
