The Governor’s Environmental Excellence Awards Program is New Jersey’s premier awards program
for recognizing outstanding environmental performance, programs and projects throughout the state.
These awards recognize individuals, businesses, educators, institutions, communities, organizations,
youth and others who have made significant contributions to environmental protection in New Jersey.
To date,170 entities have been recognized since the awards program was established in 2000.
Nominations can be submitted for the following categories:
• Clean Air
• Innovative Technology
• Environmental Education/Educator-Led Projects
• Environmental Educations/Student-Led Projects
• Water Resources
• Land Conservation
• Healthy and Sustainable Communities
• Healthy and Sustainable Businesses
• Healthy Ecosystems and Habitats
