Congratulations to William M. Brown, III, FAIA, NOMAC, and Andrew Thompson, AIA, NOMAC!

 
On Friday, 10/28/22, AIA New Jersey and Newark and Suburban members Andrew E. Thompson, AIA, NOMAC, and William M. Brown III, FAIA, NOMAC, were elevated to NOMAC, which is composed of former Presidents and distinguished leaders of NOMA (National Organization of Minority Architects), who serve as an advisory board to the NOMA Board of Directors.
 
In addition, Bill received the 2022 NOMA Member of the Year Award at the 51st Annual NOMA ” Unplugged” Conference which was held in Nashville, Tennessee.
 
It is important to note that the late William M. Brown Jr., AIA, NOMA, father to Bill, was both the Past President of AIA Newark and Suburban Architects and AIANJ.  He was 1 of the 14 Founders of the NOMA Organization which was established in 1971.
 
These celebrated and respected gentlemen are no strangers to the awards circle, having recently been recognized by AIA, as well.
 
Andrew, 2020 President of AIA Newark and Suburban and incoming AIA NJ 2023 Vice President, was named AIA New Jersey 2021 Architect of the Year. Learn more about Andrew’s history and perspectives in these recent articles, HERE and HERE
