All Members Are Invited to Celebrate New Jersey Architecture Week with AIA New Jersey

Governor Murphy has proclaimed April 16 – 22, 2023, New Jersey Architecture Week (#NJArchWeek23). The goal is to increase attention to NJ Architecture and the valuable role architects play as a force for positive change across our state.

We invite all our members to participate in our social media outreach. Please submit by April 13th, a single, square jpg up to 8MB containing ALL of the following: an image of meaningful (notable) examples of Public Architecture across the State. The photo can be of a building in or around your community (town/county/region), with a submitting member architect’s quote, compelling fact, or other text about the building or place.

The featured architecture can include buildings designed by the AIA member/firm, historic or iconic buildings in your community that inspire you as an architect,  and which you think shine a positive light on NJ architecture. Building profiles might include some of the notable “AIA NJ Guidebook 150” icon NJ places from the 2011 book. Alternatively, you may prepare a slide that features your NJ work.

With either strategy, please also include your headshot, your name including AIA designation, AIA Section that you belong to, your firm name, contact information, and a brief statement not to exceed 30 words.

All images should be the property of the submitter or given proper attribution as a caption on the jpg. The project should be identified by name, type, and location if it belongs to someone else.

A sample submission is included here for your reference, but you may format as you prefer, providing the above elements. Note the NEW AIA LOGO! Please e-mail your submission to staceykliesch@gmail.com by April 13. Each AIA NJ member is invited to submit even if others from your firm are also participating. If you would like a template that you can manipulate, please e-mail your request to staceykliesch@gmail.com.

When we reach April 16, please engage with and share our social media every day of NJ Architecture Week.

Thank you!
