Mayors Exchange Introduction Orientation Webinar

Tuesday, May 23, 2023

7:00pm

For 2023 AIA New Jersey is reinventing and rebranding our prior Mayors Symposium as the Mayors Exchange program. This will be a grassroots civic engagement campaign that invites AIA NJ member architects to engage with mayors in their local communities across the state.

What is it ?

AIA NJ 2023 President, Ron Weston, AIA, together with Mayors Committee Chair, Andrew Thompson, AIA and committee member, Bill Brown III, FAIA, invite our members to take part in the Mayors Exchange program. Participants can schedule a convenient time between June and November to meet with a New Jersey mayor; you can choose a mayor you know personally or professional, or reach out and introduce yourself to a mayor in a community where you live or work.

Member participants will be provided Tools and Resources, including talking points and advocacy topics, to prepare them for their meetings.

Through these Grassroots Meetings architects and mayors can exchange ideas through conversation to better understand local community challenges and opportunities for the built environment. AIA NJ wants to listen to mayors and also advocate on topics of interest.

If you are interested in participating in this program, please Register below.

The initial Mayors Exchange Introduction orientation webinar (1.0 AIA LU) is scheduled for Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 7:00pm. If you cannot attend this live webinar that is not a problem, you can still register for the program and watch the recorded webinar at your convenience; however the AIA LU credit will only be applicable for the live presentation.
