Reading Time: < 1 minuteAIA Jersey Shore and AIA South Jersey are co-hosting a joint meeting on Sept 20th from 5-9pm at the historic Smithville Inn.
Many of our ancestors came through Ellis Island and some even stayed at the NJ end of the island at the hospital complex before they entered this country.
At this joint meeting, you will be afforded the rare opportunity to see a presentation by Jennifer Arnoldi, AIA, of Mills + Schnoering Architects, LLC, who is in charge of the stabilization of the south side of the island. In addition, Jean Zimmerman, educator and tour guide of the Save Ellis Island organization, will provide the history of the abandoned hospital complex.
All AIA members are invited to join us! RSVP to Phil Giambri by Sept 13th at pg.aiasj@gmail.com.
