After a building tour of The Committed Pig Restaurant in Manasquan, NJ, designed by Verity Frizzell, FAIA. AIA New Jersey members will gather to discuss the profession, our values, and the need for common sense solutions to matters involving inequity in the workplace and community. Attendees will rotate to each facilitator with other members and peers to discuss their past horror stories and brainstorm successful solutions to increase equity. Small group discussions will focus on how this impacts the Architecture profession, and best practices. Topics will include pay equity, work-life balance, equitable recruiting, advancement transparency, and other topics from the AIA Guides to Equitable Practice, which can be found HERE.
