AIA New Jersey Board Installation and Awards Dinner Is A Great Success

On Saturday, January 13, 2024, American Institute of Architects New Jersey members, colleagues, and significant others gathered in Point Pleasant, NJ, at Clarks Landing Yacht Club, designed by our Past President Verity Frizzell, FAIA, to celebrate our 2023 Design and Service Award winners and witness the installation of our 2024 officers at the annual Board Installation and Awards Dinner. 

The event was generously sponsored by Spiezle, while award sponsors included Conspectus, DCC, Whitehorn and Haogland Longo Moran Dunst & Doukas, LLP.

The program included welcome remarks by AIA NJ 2023 President Ron Weston, AIA, an address by AIA NJ 2024 President Brian Penschow, AIA, and remarks by 2024 AIA Jersey Shore President Jason Vico, AIA. 

The AIA NJ and AIA Jersey Shore Officers were installed by Past Regional Director Michael Hanrahan, AIA. 

The AIA NJ 2024 Executive Committee includes President Brian Penschow, AIA; President-Elect Andrew Thompson, AIA; Vice President Manuel Pereiras, AIA; Secretary Mathew Pultork, AIA; Treasurer Bharath “Ram” Ramamoorthy, AIA; Strategic Councilor Verity Frizzell, FAIA; State Associates Director Anna Chang, Associate AIA; State Young Architects Representative Abigail Benjamin, AIA; and Immediate Past President Ronald Weston, AIA. 

The AIA Jersey Shore 2024 Executive Committee includes President Jason Vico, AIA; Vice President Irwin Kizel, AIA; Treasurer Megan O’Donnell, AIA; Secretary Shraddha Medidi, Associate AIA; and Immediate Past President Arnie Boyle, AIA. 

AIA New Jersey Past Presidents Kurt Kalafasky, AIA; Seth Leeb, AIA; Ronald Weston, AIA; Stacey Ruhle Kliesch, AIA; William M. Brown, III, FAIA; Jack Purvis, AIA; Joshua Zinder, AIA; and Michael Hanrahan, AIA, attended to herald in 2024 President Brian Penschow, AIA. 

After dinner, Service Award Chair Jessica O’Donnell and Design Award Co-Chairs Seth Leeb, AIA, and Joshua Zinder, AIA, recognized all of their winners, who will be featured individually over the coming weeks. 

AIA New Jersey wishes to congratulate all of our winners, thank our jurors and sponsors, and wish our new officers a successful term!
