The Architecture Billings Index (ABI) is a leading economic indicator of demand for non-residential construction activity, including commercial and industrial buildings. A positive ABI can signal strength or recovery in the broader economy, while a negative ABI can signal weakness or a coming downturn.
The score is derived from a monthly survey of architecture firms that measures the change in the number of services provided to clients.
Do you subscribe to the ABI? Like the AIA housing trends survey, it’s some of the most valuable information the AIA produces. Don’t miss it!
