Building on Belonging Resource Guides Available from NCARB and NOMA

Our colleagues at NCARB and NOMA have partnered to gather data in the Baseline on Belonging study, highlighting disparities in firm support for candidates pursuing licensure, with women and people of color often reporting lower levels of firm support than their white, male peers.

With the results of the study, NCARB has developed two new resources for firm leadership and candidates. These guides aim to promote equitable workplaces by ensuring that candidates know what licensure support they can advocate for, firms better understand what level of licensure support they should be offering,  and how to share that information with their employees.

All AIA members have a responsibility to understand this information and offer opportunities to aspiring architects. These are excellent guidelines for both.
