AIA New Jersey Announces New Jersey Architecture Week Public Events

BIG NEWS!!

New Jersey Governor Philip Murphy has proclaimed April 6-12, 2025, New Jersey Architecture Week!

As Chairman of the NJ Architecture Week Committee, I’m excited to invite New Jersey residents to join the celebration of New Jersey Architecture Week and the 125th anniversary of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) New Jersey Chapter!

According to The AIA: Architecture Week celebrates the profession of architecture and invites everyone, especially K-12 students, to explore architecture and design. We encourage all NJ residents to find an activity, virtually or in your area, from the calendar of events below,w and to participate in learning more about NJ Architecture. The built environment, encompassing human-made spaces like buildings and infrastructure, significantly impacts individuals’ physical and mental health by influencing lifestyle choices, exposure to pollutants and access to resources. Architectural design influences mood, behavior, and even health, as spaces can evoke emotions, promote or hinder productivity and affect overall human well-being.

We ask that you share your experiences with us via photographs, tagging @AIANJ @AIA #AIANational #ArchitectureWeek #AIANJ and #NJArchWeek25 in your social media posts or other means.
