This talk explores the impactful and effective nature of gradual, incremental urban restoration in creating a strong sense of community. Drawing examples from Queens, NY, specifically Sunnyside Gardens and Jamaica, it highlights the value of preserving the fabric and context over time. By implementing established design standards, these projects contribute to a charming streetscape in both residential and commercial areas, significantly enhancing the neighborhood and regenerating a sense of place.
